The following rules will remain in effect for the season. Interpretation and enforcement of these rules shall be left to the
directors. Safety is the highest priority. Ark G&F and Central Arkansas Water rules will be followed.
Covid: Due to recent events of Covid-19 and for everyone’s health and safety please follow these guidelines: Practice social distancing of 6 feet apart, wash hands frequently, stay home if you are sick or have been exposed.
Fees: $60.00 per regular tournament. Membership dues $25.00 per person; this must be paid at the first tournament fished.
Pay out: Less than 10 boats -2 places paid; 10 to 20 boats- 3 places paid; 20 to 30- 4 places paid and over 30- 5 places paid.
Participation: Registration form must be completed on first tournament. Teams are required to sign in for every tournament. You are responsible for remembering your team number and having it at sign up. This is a Team Tournament and points go towards the 2 members of the Team filled out on the registration form. Your points will start over if you fish with a new partner.
Boats and Motors: All boats must meet US Coast Guard and State Regulations. Kill Switches, life Jackets, bow and stern lights must be used when marina engine is being used. Failure to comply with light rule when main engine is in use will result in disqualification.
Tack and Equipment: All fish must be caught in a legal sporting manner. No trolling or fishing with live bait. When possible, we will check live wells. No baiting holes. No fishing in restricted area or behind buoys at WestRock Landing.
Scoring: For the ANGLER OF THE YEAR ($500.00 cash), you get one (1) point for fishing the tournament (The stick with registration number must be turned in) and one (1) point per pound of fish. In season tournaments: Five (5) fish limit with Black Bass and Kentucky Bass being 12 inches.
Polygraph: Membership fees will pay for several tests during the season. If asked, you are subject to taking the test.
Culling Fish: If you have more than the tournament limit of fish in the live well, the team will be subject to disqualification.One half (1/2) pound will be deducted for Dead Fish. No more than 1 fish dead is allowed per tournament. Short fish brought to weigh counter will result in a one half (1/2) pound deduction plus the fish.
Practice Fishing or Boating: No pre-fishing is allowed on the day of the regular tournaments. See Fish off section for further details. Motor test runs shall be done in sight of starting line.
Takeoff: Hours of Tournament- 6:30 to 10:00 PM; Takeoff is by airhorn. Stay behind the buoys until WestRock Landings start boat goes out to start the tournament. We will not take off as long as one boat is directly behind another boat. We spread out in a half circle past the buoys of WestRock Landings Cove. Be in the general area of the line in the direction that you will be going.
Weigh In: Team Number sticks must be in the hands of the weigh master by 10:00p.m. on Tuesdays (If not, fish are not weighed.) Weighing starts when two teams are in line. Everyone must be in line to weigh by 15 minutes after tournament end (if not the fish will not be weighed). Three (3) minutes after last team weighs the tournament is over.
Fish Off: September Full Moon, Saturday September 10th from 3:00 PM to 12 AM. TO QUALIFY, you must be in the top 20 teams. If any of the top 20 teams are unable to participate in the fish off, the next team in point standing may take their place. You must be pre-paid by September 3rd; the fee will be $100.00. Fish off will be scored on a total of five (5) fish, allowing one (1) dead with penalty. The LAKE IS OFF LIMITS the week before fish-off (September 3rd @ Midnight – September 10th 3:00p.m.)
